Hi. I’m the person
who can’t stop
drinking coconut water.
Cocoree started because I couldn’t understand why some coconut water had a really weird aftertaste. There were no honest reviews online. So I made my own. With too many opinions.
It started with a really bad coconut water.
I’ve been obsessed with coconut water since before it was cool. My first taste was in 2007 — I was at my first ever resort in Cuba and the groundskeeper offered to open up a coconut for me. Since then – I’ve been drinking it long before it hit every gym bag and yoga studio in America.
Coconut water is my version of dessert: every night, after a long day at work, at the gym, or after sports – I sit my ass on the couch, plop my feet up, and open a fresh bottle of coconut water straight from the fridge (coconut water is best enjoyed chilled).
Fast forward to December 2025, I bought a freshly opened coconut in Kerala (India), took one sip, and thought: this tastes like shit!. Kerala is highly ranked for their coconut species so you can imagine my disappointment. I started keeping notes. Then the notes became a spreadsheet. Then the spreadsheet became this. Because if I’m going to be obsessive about something, I might as well make it useful for someone else.
Actually incredible. Floral. Clean.
Tastes like the ocean but make it fancy.
Like drinking slightly coconut-flavored water.
Inoffensive. Forgettable. Fine.
My mom would love this.
That’s a compliment btw.
Reviews with actual standards
Every review follows the same process. No shortcuts, no sponsorships, no soft-pedaling bad takes.
Okay so here’s the thing about Harmless Harvest: it’s pink. Not artificially pink — it’s pink because of the antioxidant activity in raw, unpasteurized coconut water when it hits light and air. Which is either the most pretentious sentence I’ve ever written or genuinely cool science. Possibly both.
The taste? Floral. Naturally sweet without being cloying. Clean finish. Like sunshine and hydration holding hands.I tested this after a 45-minute run and it absorbed faster than anything else I’ve tried at this price point. My one complaint — and I have to have one — is the price. $5.99 for 16oz is a commitment. But if you’re going to drink one coconut water this week, make it this one.
